Welded Gabion Blast Barrier

Welded gabion is manufactured from high-quality low-carbon steel wire, welded by advanced automatic machinery in accordance with BS1052:1986 standards. It offers multiple surface treatment options, including electro galvanized, hot-dip galvanized, PVC coated, or Galfan coating, ensuring excellent corrosion resistance and long service life in harsh environments.

The structure is designed with precision-welded joints at every intersection, forming a rigid and stable mesh panel system. Combined with corner stiffeners and internal diaphragms, it provides superior strength and effectively prevents deformation or bulging during filling and long-term use.

When filled with stone or sand, welded gabion transforms into a highly effective blast barrier system, capable of absorbing impact energy, reducing shockwave pressure, and protecting surrounding structures from explosions and debris.

Widely used in military defense, oil & gas facilities, mining sites, and high-security zones, it is also suitable for architectural and landscaping applications where both strength and appearance are required.

The wire used to manufacture double twisted gabion wire mesh is soft annealed, mild steel wire provided with heavy zinc coating as per EN 10244/ASTM A 641 to prevent corrosion. In case of use in aggressive environments, it is further extruded with 0.5mm thick PVC Coating.
